Our Orientation & Training Programme.

Once your au pair arrives, you will meet them at the Auckland Airport to collect them. If you live outside Auckland, then you will need to book your au pair a one-way flight to your region (we can support with this) and meet them at your local airport.

Our Orientation Programme includes:

  • Comprehensive online courses and resources before your au pair arrives in New Zealand
  • Live video “Meet and Greet” with our team and other au pairs when they arrive at your family home
  • We also provide your au pair with information regarding their au pair contract, programme requirements, as well other information regarding their responsibilities as an employee of your family

Your au pair will also attend an in-person Child First Aid course run by St John’s after joining you. This gives your au pair a chance to adjust to a new time zone and settle in, so they are fully able to absorb the important information learnt during the first aid course.

Having completed our Orientation course, you can feel confident knowing your children are safe with your Au Pair.

Please note, while your au pair is responsible for their transport to Auckland from their international departure port, it is your responsibility to organise and pay for your au pair’s domestic travel to reach your home in New Zealand.

Our Orientation courses occur fortnightly throughout the year.
