Can I please nominate Lara Kühl for Au Pair of the month.

Lara has been with us since August and has fitted in with our family just perfectly right from the start.  She is amazing and helps out our household more than she probably realises.

Lara has a lovely relationship with both our boys.  She has a beautiful calm confident manner, and is also super fun – important with our very full on 6 and 4 year old boys.  She has embraced gym classes, football lessons, regular trips to the playground and lots of outings – especially during the school holidays.

Sam has a development delay and Lara has already helped him progress, encouraging him to try to dress himself and use the toilet.  Lara has been part of Sam’s sessions with his Speech and Language Therapist and works with him on the games we use to help him improve his talking.  Sam has just started attending creche for two mornings and Lara has been perfect at getting him to calmly settle in to that new routine.  And Lara has also improved our dinner times with sitting better at the table and eating well.

Not only all this but Lara cooks, keeps the house tidy and makes perfect beds!

Lara is also making the most of her year abroad – quickly making friends and getting out and about enjoying Wellington and trips around New Zealand.

I’m already not looking forward to Lara leaving, but at least thankful we get to have her as part of our family for many more months ??
