Our wonderful au pair Kim!
Our family would love to nominate Kim, our au pair, for Au Pair of the Month!!!
Kim has been with us since July and is our very 1st Au pair to join our family. We are a family of four consisting of myself and Danny and our 2 children Kelsey (7) and Guy (5).
Kim has certainly made our first experience with an Au Pair an amazing one. She has fitted into our family so well and it makes it more special that she feels part of our family.
We love the fact that Kim has made the most of every opportunity to explore our country, she would have seen more than we have! When Kim arrives home from her holiday the first thing she does is greet the children and ask them all about their days while she has been away, so thoughtful and caring.
It has been wonderful to have Kim in our house with the children as they have really loved having that one on one contact that we often can’t do during some very busy weeks, over those busy weeks Kim has never been afraid to step up going above and beyond with the washing, vacuuming, cooking etc. to which we are ever grateful.
Kim provides all four of us with support whenever we may need it but the thing that she is amazing at is providing her NZ Au pair friends with support. While she has been here, she has had friends that have had issues arise and she has been there to support them through these hard times by either opening up her room if they need a night away or inviting them round for the day or just picking them up to go out for the day, this girl has an amazing heart!
Christmas was a wonderful experience with Kim, she made us a gorgeous photo and framed it with the kids and her on the tramp with “we love you Mum and Dad” written on the bottom of their feet! Safe to say this brought a total tear to my eye!!
It is certainly not going to be an easy day when we have to say goodbye to our Kimi in April, but we are very thankful for her stay with us, we will miss our adopted daughter and sister very much!
The reasons above are just a snapshot of why we wanted to nominate Kim for Au Pair of the month, she is a truly amazing Au Pair we are so lucky.
